PURPOSE:To cause a moving body to detect its own position even when the moving body is at a position, at which transmission and reception of radio waves are difficult, by using a position detecting means which detects the position of the moving body by using radio waves and another position detecting means which performs the position detection by self-running. CONSTITUTION:A position detecting means 11 which detects the position of a moving body 5 by using radio waves and another position detecting means 12 which performs the position detection by self-running are provided. Then, by using the information stored in a storing means 14 which stores the area information of areas, at which transmission and reception of radio waves are difficult, the positional information obtained by means of the means 11 and that obtained by means of the means 12 are switched to each other. Therefore, when the moving body 5 moves in an area, at which transmission and reception of radio waves can be performed, the positional information of the moving body 5 can be obtained by means of the means 11 and when the body 5 moves in another area, at which transmission and reception of radio waves are difficult, the positional information is obtained from the means 12. |
