Novel morphinan derivatives and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof as compounds having abilities to bind to opioid epsilon -receptor, which have agonist or antagonist activities, are disclosed. The morphinan derivatives according to the present invention are represented by the formula (I).
