<p>The plate valve has several separate concentric ring plates (1) supported opposite the valve catcher (2) by radially arranged sprung bridges (2) guided in the lift direction in a recess (3) of the catcher. This guided height (6) of the bridges is greater than equal to the maximum stroke height (7) of the ring plates. The ring plates lie against the centring elements (8) of the bridges and are guided over the entire stroke by the bridges opposite the valve catcher. The bridges have recesses (9) on the side facing the valve catcher, for supporting individual helical compression springs (4). <IMAGE></p>
