A method and apparatus are provided for acquiring a series of images of a patient using an imaging device as a single injection of contrast material is passed through the patient's vascular system. The method includes loading a first set of parameters (112) for the imaging device. Image data are collected (114) of a first view according to the first set of parameters. A second set of parameters are loaded for said imaging device (112) and image data of a second view are collected (114) according to the second set of parameters. This scan can be repeated for third, fourth, or fifth sets of parameters for imaging additional body locations.
