PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a heat insulating case light in weight and to facilitate manufacture and handling thereof by making it comprise a resin material for reinforcing the structural strength of the case and a heat insulating material of polystyrene stuck to the resin material by a bonding agent and formed by foaming. SOLUTION: A heat insulating case 10 has a reinforcing member 12 for reinforcing the strength of the heat insulating case 10 and a heat insulating member 14 bonded to the reinforcing member 12 and formed by foaming foamable polymer particles. The reinforcing member 12 and the heat insulating member 14 are bonded by a bonding agent in the shape of a box of which one side is opened and the reinforcing member 12 is made thinner than the heat insulating member 14. The reinforcing member 12 is molded of a resin material, while polystyrene particles are used as the foamable polymer particles, and the bonding agent is desirably a nonvolatile adhesive. Since the reinforcing member 12 is constituted of the resin material in this way, it does not weigh so much and is thinner than the heat insulating member 14. Therefore the weight of the heat insulating case 10 itself does not increase excessively.
