Fastener for joining fencing or wire formed from elongated material

Fencing or wire is fixed in place using a fastener, formed from an elongated basic body, having two parallel arms (1, 2) in mirror symmetry to the longitudinal axis and joined together by formation of at least one loop (3). The arms have inclined sections (1B, 2B) leading to the loop section at which they are joined. The other ends of the arms are driven into the fencing post until the wire to be fastened is clamped by the inclined sections. Preferably the inclined sections overlap one another. The basic body is preferably circular in cross section and the ends (1A, 2A) of the arms are pointed. The fastener is made of metal preferably stainless steel.
