Evaluation of culture test results

Procedure for setting out and evaluating test results is claimed, especially for a microbiological test, where the results are determined using a culture. The results in the laboratory are converted into electronic data which is transmitted by an electronic net to a reference laboratory. The results are recovered from the transmitted data and are assessed by the reference laboratory. Preferably the plausibility of the results is assessed by comparing with information on the patient such as gender, age, build and any existing or previous illnesses. An image (preferably taken by colour camera) of the culture is also transmitted to the reference laboratory.
