The foam upholster element has a carrier rack in the rear and a recess, the edges of which are reinforced by a support frame. The rack and frame are connected to each other and sealed into the upholstery with foam. The carrier rack (5) or the support frame (9) has recesses (8), so that either the frame is fitted into recesses in the rack, or vice-versa. If in the support frame, these recesses are supported against movement in the direction of the carrier rack and against movement perpendicular to the reinforced edges (10) parallel to the support frame.
