Cable closure having a holding device for cassettes for depositing and splicing optical fibres

The cable cuff has a holder for a number of cassettes (1) for storage and splicing of optical fibres, with individual access to each cassette by pivoting it about one longitudinal edge via a pair of pivot pins (4) projecting on either side of the cassette. The pivot pins have ratchet elements (5) co-operating with a ratchet mechanism provided by the cassette holder for securing the cassette in at least one position, with the optical fibres fed into the cassette via guides positioned along the pivot edge.
