<p>A polymer obtained by polymerizing a methacrylic ester monomer having an electron-donating group bonded to a specific site of an esterification residue (the alcohol moiety) optionally with a lactone or a lactide by using an alkali metal alcoholate as a polymerization initiator; a process for producing the polymer; and polymer micelles obtained from the polymer. Since the polymer has the functional group corresponding to the polymerization initiator and the electron-donating groups (functional groups), it can exhibit various functions by taking advantage of these functional groups.</p> |
