Automatic transfer of sausage casing comprises threading onto a support which is contained inside a hollow tube (2) mounted on a chassis (1). The support is introduced to one end of the tube (5) and the casing is threaded over the hollow tube (2) from the other end (3). The support is withdrawn from the tube, from the opposite end (3) to where it entered, picking up the casing.
