Pipeline system and use of a pig in such a pipeline system

The present invention relates to an equipment (1) for the interconnection of two lines (11,12) to allow running of pigs. Particularly, it is applied to subsea pipelines. This device allows the pigging in installations with restricted accessibility. This equipment allows pigs launched from the first site into the first line (11), to return via the second line (12) back to the first site. It is of a modular design, and can be installed at any equipment located at the interconnection point of the two lines, even with existing facilities.
