The device for stabilising stenosised or angioplastically treated partial regions of a vessel wall consists of an expandable support (stent) (1) taking the form of a tubular body. The wall here consists of at least one support (2) which is circumferentially labyrinthine or in a zig-zag, the surface or turn density of which differs in the axial direction of the stent. The bearers have different radial pressures but substantially the same diameter (3) over the axial length in regions (a, b, c, d, e) with different surface or turn density.
