FIELD: performance of mass-transfer processes, such as cleaning and drying gases; gas industry, gas-processing industry, chemical and petrochemical industries. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes housing with gas and liquid delivery and discharge branch pipes, separators located inside housing, blind (for liquid) plate, contact stages and coalescing stage, valve plate and vertical partition dividing part of apparatus in which contact stages are mounted into two sections; upper end of partition is connected with valve plate whose valves are fully open above one section of column divided by partition; liquid supply pipe union is located between upper contact stage and valve plate.
