[Also in Division E2] In a seat having a resiliently mounted back, the back can be adjusted to one of a number of positions by slackening a centre screw 31 disengaging and then re-engaging in the new position teeth 20, 25 and tightening the screw. The back 13 carries the teeth 20 which are engaged by the teeth 25 on an end member 21. Dowels 35 on member 21 pass through member 13 and engage openings in a neoprene member 37 (this member may alternatively be a convolute spring). A seat member 14 has apertures 46 engaged by further dowels 42 on another end member 43, these dowels also engage openings in the neoprene member 37 so that the back is resiliently mounted with respect to the seat.
