PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail to be used in getting up from a futon by erecting a handrail body in a base part, for sandwiching the edge part of a tatami from the top and the bottom and attaching it to the edge part of the tatami. SOLUTION: A handrail 10 for getting up in a Japanese-style room is constituted of a base part 11 and a handrail body 12. The base part 11 is constituted of a bottom fastening plate 13, an intermediate member 14, and a top fastening plate 15 composed of a metal plate, etc. The intermediate member 14 is constituted of screw rods 16, 16 erected in the bottom fastening member 13 and a reinforcing plate 17 for connecting them to each other and integrated with the bottom fastening plate 13 by welding, etc. The top fastening plate 15 is formed of a thin plate such as plastic superior in the external appearance and touch, provided with holes 18, 18 for inserting the screws 16, 16 therein, and sandwiches the side edges of a tatami in a space toward the bottom fastening plate 13 using a nut 19. Handrail body attaching rods 20, 20 are erected so that the handrail body 12 is fitted therearound and fixed by a screw dial 22. An antislipping material 21 such as urethane foam is provided in the handrail body 12. The handrail is thus installed in a side part of the futon and can be used in getting up. |
