PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a webbing winding device which keeps a tensile force applied to a webbing from exceeding a prescribed value by an energy absorption member by rotating a spool in the webbing drawing-out direction, after rotating the spool in the webbing winding direction by a pretensioner in abrupt decelerating. SOLUTION: A pretension shaft part 26 in one end side of a spool 18 is arranged inside a drum 64 spaced at a prescribed interval. In abrupt decelerating, the drum 64 is wound up by a wire 94 so as to catch the pretension shaft part 26 and rotate the spool 18 in the winding direction of the webbing 20. Secondly, the drawing-out force acting on the webbing 20 fractures a fracture part 24D of a torsion bar 24 so that a part from the fracture part 24D to an insertion part is relatively rotated to a drive plate 80 and then, the spool 18 is rotated to torsionally deform the torsion bar 24. |
