PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the groove machining of different groove width using a same diameter wire by providing a roller moving adjustment mechanism which adjusts a wire wound around a roller in such a state as being arranged at some angle to the reciprocating direction of a work. SOLUTION: A work 14 is reciprocated along with a work table 16. The work table 16 is raised while reciprocating the work 14 and pushed against a wire 1 so that a groove is formed in the work 14. When the wire 1 is arranged parallel to the reciprocating direction of the work 14, the groove having the width of the wire 1 can be formed. When the wire 1 is arranged at some angle to the reciprocating direction of the work 14, the groove can be formed larger by the width for bringing the wire 1 in contact with the work 14 between the reciprocation movement of the work 14. |
