FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves mobilizing distal portion of the rectum through the anus. The distal end of the rectum is brought through the anal canal. Distal resection line is produced below the level of the inferior sphincter with its removing. Anterior and posterior seromuscular flaps are cut above the tumor from intestine to be brought down. Intestine wall is wrapped with the flaps. Distal portion of the formed sphincter is fixed to the anal canal border along the resection line. Mucosa edge is sutured to anal canal mucosa. EFFECT: improved functional results of the operation.
