PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of an opening and closing device for power window or the like by preferentially supplying open driving current to an electric motor in opening operation, when the open driving current or close driving current is switchingly supplied according to the opening and closing operation of the electric motor for opening and closing a window provided in a vehicle. SOLUTION: UP/DOWN switches 3, 5 to be operated to raise/lower a window glass are provided on the side part of a door, the contact of an interlocking switch 7 is opened and closed in interlocking with the operation of the DOWN switch 5, and a motor 9 is normally or reversely rotated according to open/close driving current. When the UP switch 3 is turned on, an operating current flows to an UP relay 11 to normally rotate the motor 9 in the close direction of the window glass. When a connecting line between the UP relay 11 and the UP switch 3, for example, is short-circuited by any cause, so that the UP switch 3 is not turned on, the open driving current is supplied to the motor 9 according to the ON operation of the DOWN switch 5 even when the close driving current flows to the motor 9. |
