<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the fixing effect of bacteria and enzyme secreted by bacteria by passing waste water through lamellar spaces constituted of kapok sheets having bacteria bonded thereto. SOLUTION: Kapok obtained from fruits of a kapok, tree are mixed with hot melt fibers and the resulting mixture is formed into a sheet by thermal molding or kapok fibers are mutually entangled by a needle punching method to be formed into a sheet. A waste water treatment apparatus is constituted of the kapok sheet 8. That is, reaction chambers 7 (7a-7e) to which aeration chambers 3 (3a-3e) are attached are connected by partition walls 6 (6a-6e), 12 (12a-12e) and the kapok sheets 8 are suspended over two upper and lower stages in the respective reaction chambers 7 by support bars 9. Water is sucked up from the bottoms of the reaction chambers 7 by pumps 10 to be circulated through circulating water pipings 11 so as to fall to the reaction chambers 7 from above and oil in waste water is sucked by the kapok sheets 8 and bacteria secreting oils and fats decomposing enzyme are accumulated on oil and an oil component is removed by oils and fats decomposition reaction.</p> |
