<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly hold a dust collecting paper or cloth to a cylindrical main body by using plural detaining protrusions for detaining the pierced one end of the dust collecting paper or cloth in the longitudinal direction and a detaining part for detaining the other end as the mounting member. SOLUTION: This air cleaner consists essentially of a cylindrical main body, a couple of upper and lower dust collecting electrodes 3, a dust collecting cloth 4 (filter), a member 5 for mounting the cloth 4 and an ionization electrode 6. The mounting member 5 is composed of a claw 13 as a couple of upper and lower detaining protrusions provided on the outer periphery of the main body and detaining the pierced one end of the cloth 4 in the longitudinal direction and a clip 14 provided on the peripheral surface of the main body and detaining the other end of the cloth 4. As a result, the cloth 4 is firmly held to the dust collecting electrode 3, the air ionized by the electrode 6 is passed through the large area of the cloth 4, and the cloth 4 is efficiently utilized.</p> |
