PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the water resistance of printed matter and the print density, by using a water-base ink containing a suspension of a polyester which contains an adsorbed coloring material insoluble or hardly soluble in water and which is obtained by subjecting a diol component and a polycarboxylic acid derivative to co-condensation polymerization. SOLUTION: This ink comprises a micelle formed from a polyester, having at least a part of a coloring material, which is insoluble or hardly soluble in water, adsorbed thereon or enclosed therein. The polyester comprises one obtained by subjecting a diol component of formula I [R is alkylene; x and y are each 1 or greater, provided that the average of (x+y) is 2 to 10; Ra and Rb are each H, alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, except for the case where both of them are H at the same time; and Rc to Rj are each H, halogeno, alkyl or cycloalkyl] or formula II (R, x, y, and Rc to Rj are the same as in formula I; and Z is a group of atoms necessary for the formation of a carbocyclic ring or a heterocyclic ring) and a polycarboxylic acid derivative to co-condensation polymerization.
|
