The invention relates to a driving chain especially for use in mining machines, such as chain conveyors or chain-driven extraction machines in particular, comprising chain links (1,2) which are suspended flexibly in each other. Said power transfer chain links (1), which transfer the drive power or drive torque to said drive chain are provided with exterior faces running in a straight line across the chain axle and thicker noses on both sides of their middle swivel sector (8), said middle swivel sector (8) forming the chain joining point. According to the invention, the interior openings (4) of said power transfer chain links (1) are provided with bearing and support surfaces (16) on both sides of the swivel sector (8) of said power transfer chain links, for the suspended eyelet-type connecting elements (2), said bearing and support surfaces (16) running across the longitudinal middle axis (L). The width (b) of the noses of said connecting elements (2) measures more than the opening width of said swivel sectors (8) at the interior opening (4) of said power transfer chain links (1). This results in good power transfer ratios for the chain links of the drive chain, the strength of the power transfer chain links of said drive chain being optimized by material accumulation in the outer areas of the chain nose. |
