<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an air bag expanded largely from obstructing the escape from a car in an accident or the rescue from the outside. SOLUTION: An air casing 1 held at high pressure is provided in an automobile and the air casing 1 is coupled with several storage casings 3 for storing an air bag via a connecting tube. A weight of a detachable pendulum is provided in the end of the coupling tube inserted inside the air casing 1 and in a collision, the high-pressure air is quickly released by its detachment due to the impact to expand the air bag instantly so that the human body is protected. On the other hand, a pulling string 10 for suppressing the swelling more than a prescribed value is mounted inside the air bag. Several air vent holes are also provided in the front face in front of the air bag and a valve is added inside the air bag so that, when the human body is pushed from the outside, the valve is opened to release the air quickly and ease the impact.</p> |
