PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for passenger cars, which can provide braking performance and traction performance without deteriorating water discharge performance, hydroplaning resistant performance, and operation stability, noise performance and partial wearing resistant performance on the dried road face. SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire provided with a central peripheral direction rib 1, central peripheral direction grooves 2, center block lines 3, peripheral direction grooves 4 on both sides, and block lines 5 on both sides, the center block lines 3 are formed with blocks with a length in the peripheral direction of from 2 to 4% of the peripheral length, and block lines 5 on both sides are formed with blocks with a length in the peripheral direction of from 1 to 2% of the peripheral length, and the central peripheral direction grooves 2 are arranged in such a way that each of the center lines of the grooves 2 is in the tread center area with a width of from 15 to 25% of the tread width, and the peripheral direction grooves 4 on both sides are arranged in such a way that the center lines of the grooves 4 are set in the areas on both sides of a tread with the treat width of from 65 to 80%. This constitution can provide a pneumatic radial tire for passenger cars, whose aspect ratio is 5% or less. |
