A resin composition for a cationically electro-depositable paint comprising (A) a resin havng hydroxyl groups and cationic groups, and (B) an epoxy resin having at least 2 epoxy functional groups each of which comprises an epoxy group directly bound to an alicyclic ring and/or bridged alicyclic ring on average per molecule as principal components.
