PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agricultural wheat culm roll bailer by which the excessive load of a driving device is effectively prevented even in various kinds of operating situations by providing a load sensor in the driving groups of plural compression elements. SOLUTION: More than one load sensor 16 for indicating the start of a binding device 5 and/or the turn-off of supply elements 3 and 4 when the compression elements 2 and 12 becomes previously settable load numerical values is provided in the driving groups 8, 11, 12 and 13 of the plural compression elements between a main transmission device 7 and rolls, that is, the compression elements 2 and 12. More than one excessive load couplings 17 and 18 being change-over possible are provided in connection with the supply elements 3 and 4. When the excessive load couplings 17 and 18 exceed the values of an maximally permission possible loads in the compression elements 2 and 12 at the latest, they are operated by the output signal of the load sensor 16 and at least the pickup 3 of the supply elements 3 and 4 is turned off.
