PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer for easily obtaining necessary information by easily knowing a printable state by an operator without executing a special panel operation. SOLUTION: The printer 10 for processing and printing data received from a host computer H comprises an initial sheet unprint detecting means 23 for detecting unprinting of an initial sheet by detecting ON of a power switch 13, and an initial sheet printing means 24 for printing the sheet for displaying a predetermined content under the condition that the means 23 detect the unprinting. When it is detected that the means 23 detects the unprinting of the sheet when the switch 13 is closed, the means 24 automatically prints the sheet. And, an operator can know that it becomes a printable state without executing a special panel operation and necessary information. |
