PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet capable of forming a sonorous thermal transfer image by a method wherein a surface of an acceptant layer has an appropriate unevenness to scatter light, and a so colled mat surface is provided. SOLUTION: When a thermal transfer sheet having a dye or ink layer capable of being thermally transferred is heated, in a thermal transfer image receiving sheet having the acceptant layer composed of resin accepting the die or ink on a base material sheet, the acceptant layer is composed of a paint film of powdery coating material composition containing a resin component. A surface roughness of the paint film is within a range of 0.5 to 4.0 arithmetic average roughness Ra specified in JIS B 0601-1994, and its 10 points average roughness Rz is within a range of 3.0 to 20.0. |
