PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of batchwise introducing gas at a low pressure into a high-viscous material, easy for maintenance, excellent in safety and moreover advantageous costwise. SOLUTION: This method of expanding a high-viscous material has a first process of introducing gas into a high-viscous material, a second process of pressurizing a mixture of the high-viscous material with the gas with the aid of a pump, a third process of making the mixture disperse by allowing it to pass through a dispersing pipe passage, and a fourth process of making the mixture expand by allowing it discharge. In the first process, piston pumps 45A, 45B whose pistons are receiprocatingly driven in cylinders to perform a suction step and a discharge step, and a membrane separation gas feeder 10 for generating gas by supplying compressed air are used, and the low-pressure gas generated by the gas feeder 10 is supplied to the piston pumps to introduce the gas into the high-viscous material. |
