摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition which can realize an image improved in light resistance and color development by using a cationic polymer having a moiety having ultraviolet absorptivity or light stabilizing activity in the main chain or as side chains. SOLUTION: The cationic polymer means a copolymer of a monomer which can give a cationic polymer with a monomer having a moiety having ultraviolet absorptivity or light stabilizing activity or a cationic polymer obtained by grafting a moiety having ultraviolet absorptivity or light stabilizing activity onto a cationic polymer. The cationic monomer is represented by formula 1 (R is H or methyl; A is -O-(CH2 )n -NR<1> R<2> (n is 1-6; and R<1> and R<2> are each H or a 1-6C alkyl) or NR<3> R<4> (R<3> and R<4> are each H or a 1-6C alkyl) and/or of formula II (R is H or methyl; and R<5> and R<6> are each H or a 1-6C alkyl). This ink composition is used e.g. in ink jet recording and a recording or printing system using a writing utensil.
