PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of the lateral drift of an automobile by a method wherein the magnetic marker of a magnetic directional system to transmit a magnetic force signal toward the magnetic sensor of an automobile running on a highway forms a flat magnet. SOLUTION: A magnetic flat marker 7 is arranged at the central part of a road surface 3 and a magnetic sensor is arranged on the bottom surface part of an automobile. A flat magnet 7 is composed of the flat magnet 71 and a resin mold 72. The central part of the upper surface of the magnetic marker 7 is arranged at the central part of a lane of a road surface. As noted above, a flat shape wherein the magnetic field component of a vertical direction in a lateral direction is maximized in a unit magnet using amount is employed. By increasing the change of a magnetism in a lateral direction from an original point 200 m above a flat magnetic marker 7, a magnetic signal is increased and with magnetic flux resolution of displacement left as it is, resolution of displacement in a lateral direction of a magnetic sensor is improved. Thus, without changing the sensor side, by improving resolution of displacement in a lateral direction, the occurrence of the lateral drift of an automobile is reduced. |
