PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheath from buckling due to operating force in a thrusting direction by burying a coil sheath obtained by tightly winding a metallic wire through nearly the full length of the inside of the resin layer of a flexible sheath and making the outer peripheral face and the inner peripheral face of the resin layer smooth surfaces. SOLUTION: Exploratory biopsy forceps 1 are provided with the flexible sheath 2 introduced into a celom by inserting into an insertion channel of an endoscope and an operation part 3 is connected to the base tip of the sheath 2 to be covered with a fold-stopping tube 4. The sheath 2 is obtained by melt- fitting an inner layer 17 to the inner peripheral face of the coil sheath 16 obtained by tightly winding the metallic wire and melt-fitting an outer layer 18 to the outer peripheral face of the coil sheath 16. The inner layer 17 is formed in the shape of a tube, the inner wall of the inner layer 17 is a smooth surface and the surface of the inner layer 17 is also formed to be a smooth surface. Thereby the deformation of the sheath against the operating force in the thrusting direction is reduced to make the sheath difficult to buckling when operating force is added in the thrusting direction and to improve the washability of the sheath. |
