PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily form a small quantity and many kinds of slide transfer material by forming a design layer on a base sheet provided with at least a water soluble resin layer by an ink jet method. SOLUTION: The manufacture of a slide transfer material 1 is to form a design layer 4 on a base sheet 2 provided with at least a water soluble resin layer 3 by an ink jet method. The base sheet 2 has water permeability and needs to have a dissolving capability of the water soluble resin layer 3 on the printing surface through the rear surface of the printing surface. Also, upon printing the design layer 4, it is preferable to have a dimensional stability capable of registering and, besides, have a surface smoothness of the order of conducting printing. Also, the water soluble resin layer 3 is entirely formed on one surface of the base sheet 2. In addition, the design 4 is formed on the separation layer and comprises characters, patterns, designs, and so on; then matter to be patterned is given decoration and is formed by an ink jet method. |
