ACRYLIC RESIN COMPOSITION, ACRYLIC PREMIX, PRODUCTION OF ACRYLIC ARTIFICIAL MARBLE AND THICKENING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both an acrylic resin composition comprising polymer powder high in thickening effects and excellent in thickening characteristics and an acrylic premix excellent in high-temperature molding and molding processability and to provide a method for producing an acrylic artificial marble excellent in surface appearance. SOLUTION: This acrylic resin composition comprises polymer powder which is a secondary aggregate of mutually aggregated primary particles and has 1-100 m<2> /g specific surface area and an acrylic syrup composed of a methyl methacrylate or a (meth)acrylic monomer mixture (a) and a polymethyl methacrylate or acrylic copolymer (b). The acrylic premix comprises the acrylic resin composition and an inorganic filler. The acrylic premixed is cured under heating under pressure to give the objective acrylic artificial marble.
