PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a nozzle mounted in a dot-recording apparatus by using a plurality of different values by combining them as a sub scan feed amount, and controlling a sub scan driving means so that every raster included in an effective recording area of a recording medium can be recorded. SOLUTION: Positions of eight nozzles at each time of a sub scan are indicated respectively by different four figures. It is indicated at a right end at what time of the sub scan dots on a raster in an effective recording area are recorded by the nozzles. According to a first dot record system, an ineffective recording area of 20 rasters is present before the effective recording area. The effective recording area starts at a 21st raster from an upper end of a nozzle scan area. A position of nozzles at a first main scan is set at a fixed distance from an upper end of a printing paper. Therefore, as the effective recording area is started at an earlier position, dots can be started to be recorded from a closer position to the upper end of the printing paper. |
