VITRIFICATION PRESERVING LIQUID OR EMBRYO OF MAMMAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the post-thawing living rate of a preserved embryo kept under freezing by preparing a vitrification preserving liquid of the embryo of a mammal including ethylene glycol, dimethyl sulfoxide and polyvinyl pyrrolidone to maintain the activity of the embryo without a transparent belt end to vitrificate the embryo. SOLUTION: This vitrification preserving liquid of the embryo of a mammal is constituted of ethylene glycol, dimethyl dulfoxide and polyvinyl pyridine. The vibrification preserving liquid so constituted is desirably obtained by including 20 to 35 v/v% ethylene glycol and 20 to 35 v/v% dimethyl sufoxide in the vitrification preserving liquid and adding 5 to 20 v/v% polyvinyl pyrrolidone to this solution. Thereby the post-thawing living rate of the freeze-preserved embryo is improved.
