PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return a printing plate to an original plate material after using and further regenerate it as a new printing plate by selectively heating the material made of shape memory resin and having a plurality of through holes of a size for inhibiting permeation of ink so that a heated part is formed in a rubber state, and applying hydraulic pressure to one surface of the material. SOLUTION: A printing plate material 20 made of shape memory resin having a plurality of through holes 25 of a size for inhibiting permeation of ink is heated in a desired pattern by a thermal head H, and a heated part is formed in a rubber state. When a hydraulic pressure is applied to one surface of the material 20, a part of the rubber state is deformed, the holes 25 included in the part are extended, cooled with fluid and enlarged to a size for permeating ink. Meanwhile, a non-heated part is not extended at the holes 25 even if the pressure is applied. Used stencil is cleaned, then heated on its entire surface of the material 20 to the rubber state. Here, if the pressure is not applied, it is returned to the holes 25 of the original size by its shape restoring properties. |
