PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional sheet that has multiple functions such as water absorption, deodorization, insecticidal and antibacterial properties, and also that exerts no bad influence to the human body, for instance, and suitably used for the underlay of a dead body put in a coffin. SOLUTION: On the waterproofing treated layer 11 of a sheet body 10, a nonwoven fabric 12 of a high moisture absorption is provided; and also on the nonwoven fabric 12, a water-absorptive polymer layer 13 having a water absorptive amount of approximately 800 times of its own weight is provided; and further on the water-absorptive polymer layer 13, a surface sheet 14 of a high water-absorption is provided; and the surface sheet 14 and the water- absorptive polymer layer 13 are subjected to a mixing treatment by means of mixing agents such as antimold, deodorization, insecticidal and antibacterial agents. Then, these are integrally pressed to form a sheetlike shape, and the folding peripheral parts 16 at four corners of the sheet body 10 are closely brought into contact with the peripheral part 15 of the surface sheet 14 to form bordering. Water is absorbed and impregnated by the surface sheet 14 and the water-absorptive polymer layer 13, and also multiple functions such as deodorization, insecticide, and antibacteria can be obtained. |
