<p>The recovery of steel sand from stone grains contained in the used cutting medium (mud) during the sawing of granite, comprises separating by centrifugal force; storing the waste mud discharged from the sawing process in a separator; diluting the mud with water; separating the heavier reusable steel sand and stone chips from the small stone grains, lime, and sand grains; then pumping the reusable steel sand and stone chips to a magnetic sifter for cleaning; the sifter having a conveyer belt beneath which a magnetic mechanism is incorporated; the steel sand is attracted by the magnetic mechanism during conveying while the stone chips are washed away; and the left usable steel sand conveyed to a recovery tank.</p> |
