Combustion grate and elements for its manufacture

The furnace grate is made from a ceramic material which is resistant to high-temperatures, abrasion and corrosion. It can be made from several individual parts each made of this material. The ceramic material used is provided with reinforcement fibres of carbon or silicon carbide. The grate or grate members can be formed as hollow bodies with a coolant flowing through. The hollow bodies have gas outlet openings (8) towards the biased side.
