A composition for the treatment of macerated foodstuff waste comprises per gram (percentages by weight): (i) 0 - 50% of bacteria complex; (ii) 75 - 99.99% of an enzyme mixture comprising: at least 5000 CDU/g of a protease; at least 12000 MWU/g of an amylase; at least 100 LU/g of a lipase; at least 1000 CU/g of a cellulase; (iii) 0 - 50% of preservative, preferably propylene glycol; (iv) 0 - 10% of non-ionic surfactant; (v) 0 - 10% of at least one of colourants, fragrances, odour-neutralising agents, micronutrients, pH control agents and thickeners. |
