Matrix (2) having a negative microstructure (2a) on one surface is produced by: applying to a positive microstructure (3a) on one side surface of a master a thin wear-resistant layer (7) that serves as a first wear surface (7a), with the layer presenting irregularities; and filling the irregularities with a plastic composite (8') to form a carrier element (8). Independent claims are also included for: (a) a matrix having a surface that presents a negative microstructure including a first wear surface, e.g. metal surface, that consists of a thin wear layer; and in that this layer is supported by a carrier surface of a carrier element; and (b) a plastic element, e.g. optical disc, made from the matrix. |
