PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for water solution electric double layer capacitor which is good in wettability with water solution electrolyte, of small internal resistance while even and thin, and excellent in film-forming characteristics and mechanical strength in large area. SOLUTION: An active carbon powder 6, a high polymer binder with hydrophilic group, and a plasticizer 5 are fully mixed together, then formed to a thin film and dried to produce an electrode 4. By using the one with hydrophilic group as high polymer binder, the wettability between water solution group electrolyte and an electrode becomes better, resulting in reduced contact resistance between the electrolyte and the electrode. With addition of plasticizer, the amount of high polymer binder required for producing a thin electrode is reduced, and a thin type, being low internal resistance, water solution group electric double layer capacitor is provided. |
