PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a semiconductor laser-pumped slid-state laser amplification device in which a heat generation distribution can be made uniform inside the cross section of a solid-state laser rod and in which a double-focus phenomenon is not generated and to obtain a semiconductor laser-pumped solid-state laser apparatus which uses it. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a solid-state laser rod 1 which is extended along the optical axis of a laser beam and which contains an active medium in the interior and with a plurality of pumping sources 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d comprising respective pumping-light optical axes 401a, 401b, 401c, 401d which are passed through a plane crossed to right angles to the axial core of the slid-state laser rod 1 and which are separated by a prescribed distance from the axial core of the slid-state laser rod 1. Then, the plurality of pumping sources 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d are arranged at equal angle intervals with reference to the axial core of the solid-state laser rod 1 when they are projected on the plane crossed at right angles to the axial core of the slid-state laser rod 1. |
