PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire capable of being accurately recognized visually by a monitor image by MRI. SOLUTION: The guide wire is equipped with a wire main body 2 having flexibility and the wire main body 2 is composed of a solid wire material (core material) and this material is constituted of a weak magnetic element or a non-magnetic element and a membrane 3 is formed to the outer periphery of the leading end part of the wire main body 2. The constitutional material of the membrane 3 is pref. composed of a ferromagnetic material and, especially, a transition metal such as Fe, Ni or Co or an alloy containing them is pref. A coating layer 4 is applied and formed to the outer periphery of the wire main body 2 over the almost entire length thereof and constituted of an org. high-molecular material. |
