PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to implement angioplasty and radiation treatment simultaneously by arranging a center cavity and an expansion cavity, and providing an expansible non-elastic outer balloon and an expansible elastic inner balloon disposed therein in a slender flexible shaft. SOLUTION: In the implementing of a PTCA(plastic operation of coronary artery) procedure and radiation treatment with a catheter, the catheter 2 is inserted into a vasculature of a patient and is moved to a contracted area using an operable PTCA wire guide. Thereafter, an outer balloon 20 is expanded to compress a deposit in an artery then, the outer balloon 20 is reduced or air is bled to expand an inner balloon 30 so that a shaft cavity is positioned at the center in the vessel involved. Thereafter, a radioactive source wire can be sent into the shaft cavity to be positioned adjacent to an affected part of the vessel. After the vessel receives a necessary amount of radiation, the radioactive source wire is removed and the inner balloon 30 is reduced to pull the catheter 2 out of the vessel. |
