PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel driving circuit capable of performing a clear display even when the image data small in the number of horizontal scanning lines are inputted. SOLUTION: A counter 20 counts the number of horizontal lines of the input image data, and when they are less than a standard, a setting circuit 23 sets no display lines in upper/lower parts based on a comparison result with a set value of a comparison circuit 22. At this time, the no display lines are made uniform in the upper/lower parts, and a display of an image is centralized. Further, the setting circuit 23 prohibits the output of the write-in data equivalent to the display data of the plasma display panel to set the no display lines. Moreover, since the no display lines are performed by a dummy scan performing a normal scan in the state without the write-in data, special operation sequence is unnecessitated. |
