PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulating sheet for a drain pipe wherein a cost of manufacture is reduced, the sheet is excellent in a sound insulating effect, execution is simplified, also bulkiness is prevented, storage, transportation, etc., are facilitated. SOLUTION: On fiber sheet layers 2, 4, a vibration damping sound insulating sheet layer 3, fiber sheet layers 2, 4 and an inorganic fiber sheet layer 6 are successively laminated, so as to constitute a sound insulating sheet 1 for a drain pipe, as the vibration damping sound insulating sheet layer 3, the layer is used, which is obtained by adding 0 to 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polymer and 100 to 2000 pts.wt. of an inorganic bulking agent to 100 pts.wt. of asphalt thereafter uniformly mixed.
